SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Hi guys, my school had the annual athletics day for the entire day .

My group started by coming together with the rest of the school .

We started with long jump ( note to self bad at long jump don't try ever again ) , but it was fun.

Next we did the 100 m run and I came 4th out of 5 people. I was exhausted.  I thought to myself I'm never doing it again. I thought my lungs were gonna explode like calamari.
I did not do the 200 or 400 run.
My favorite part of athletics was  shot put because I came 3rd
and I practiced before hand at school.

So I'll blog you later.

our Corbans Estate trip

Hi bloggers.  How are you doing? On the 13th of November Yesterday me and my class went to Corbans Estate Pasifika Art Center. We did  drumming and we made leis for someone we love or welcome in our life.

And in our drumming workshop we learnt all the history of drums and the names like the long drum and the shark skin drum which they obviously did not have because they don't believe in animal cruelty. Drums were originally used to cmmunicate with other villages. Now they are used for entertainment and cultural reasons.

When we made the leis there was a certain  pattern to make them.

At the end we all came together as two groups - the girls and the boys. and can you guess what we did?
Probably not because we did dancing. It was really fun. And at the end of everything me and two of my class mates thanked Aunty Tu, Aunty Jacinda , Mama Mata and Fox. because  they treated us  like family.
It was an amazing experience.
